Nutty, chocolatey and full of energy!
These little balls of energy are great when you're short of time and have a busy week ahead!
They are packed with protein to help keep you feeling full while also supporting your immune system.
Full of fibre from flaxseeds means they keep your gut happy and healthy by feeding your microbes, supporting your immune system, blood sugar and bowel movements to name a few.
They even have a good source of essential fats which is great for supporting your skin health!
Not only are they nutritious and simple to make, but they are super tasty!
1/2 cup natural drippy nut butter (peanut, almond, cashew - pick your favourite!)
1/4 cup honey
1 scoop protein powder of choice
1/3 cup flaxseed
1/2 cup rolled oats (gluten free if required)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
optional: try adding a teaspoon of cinnamon to further support blood sugar, or some toasted flaked coconut to mix up the flavour.
Add all wet ingredients (peanut butter, honey, vanilla) to a bowl and mix until combined.
Mix in the dry ingredients (protein powder, flaxseeds, rolled oats, chia seeds, chocolate chips) until a soft dough is made. You may need to use your hands!
Use a cookie scoop or your hands to roll the dough into 10 balls. Enjoy!
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week, or the freezer for up to 2 months.
If you have a food processor, you can add all ingredients except the chocolate chips and pulse until combined. Add in the chocolate chips and pulse a few more times. Then roll into 10 balls.
