They even have a good source of essential fats which is great for supporting your skin health!
Not only are they nutritious and simple to make, but they are super tasty!
Enjoy!
Ingredients
1/2 cup natural drippy nut butter (peanut, almond, cashew - pick your favourite!)
1/4 cup honey
1 scoop protein powder of choice
1/3 cup flaxseed
1/2 cup rolled oats (gluten free if required)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
optional: try adding a teaspoon of cinnamon to further support blood sugar, or some toasted flaked coconut to mix up the flavour.
Method
Add all wet ingredients (peanut butter, honey, vanilla) to a bowl and mix until combined.
Mix in the dry ingredients (protein powder, flaxseeds, rolled oats, chia seeds, chocolate chips) until a soft dough is made. You may need to use your hands!
Use a cookie scoop or your hands to roll the dough into 10 balls. Enjoy!
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week, or the freezer for up to 2 months.
If you have a food processor, you can add all ingredients except the chocolate chips and pulse until combined. Add in the chocolate chips and pulse a few more times. Then roll into 10 balls.
